Plagiarism

Statement of Policy

The IFHAM International Journal of Halal Ecosystem Studies maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts must be original and must not contain plagiarised material in any form.

The Editorial Team recognises plagiarism as a serious breach of publication ethics and has established the following policy to define plagiarism, outline review procedures, and specify actions to be taken when plagiarism is identified.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as the intentional or unintentional use of another person’s ideas, data, words, or scientific work without proper acknowledgement, thereby presenting them as one’s own.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, data, or ideas without citation
  • Paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without attribution
  • Submitting work that substantially overlaps with previously published or submitted material
  • Self-plagiarism without disclosure.

Author Responsibility

All manuscripts submitted to the IFHAM International Journal of Halal Ecosystem Studies must:

  • Be original
  • Not have been previously published
  • Not be under consideration by another journal at the time of submission

All authors are jointly responsible for the content of their submissions. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work complies with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts may be subject to plagiarism screening using recognised similarity detection tools as part of the editorial assessment process.

Where potential plagiarism is identified, the Editor-in-Chief will conduct a review and determine the appropriate course of action based on the extent and severity of the overlap.
